THE GOOD HISTORY

Good Times Community Theatre League started in the living rooms of a few people who believed that LeFlore County needed quality family entertainment.

When founding member, Norma Smith, was teaching English at Poteau High School in the early 1970s, she wrangled her children, students, and friends together to put on a production of Fiddler on the Roof.

We've been in business ever since.

Though many of the founding members have come and gone, a number of torch bearers have kept the group alive throughout the years.

Our early productions were performed in the old County Building which had a small auditorium.  Unfortunately, a fire destroyed the building in the late 70s. GTCTL has been a wandering nomad ever since.

We have been fortunate enough to produce shows at the Bob Lee Kidd Civic Center on the high school campus, Carl Albert State College's Hamilton Auditorium, and, recently, the Don W. Reynolds Center. For some of our smaller shows, we perform in the PHS Choir Room.  Good Times would love to find a more permanent home. Contact a board member to see how you can help make that dream a reality!

GTCTL is a non-profit organization dedicated to producing quality entertainment for all ages.  We are made up of community members of all ages who enjoy acting, directing, and working behind the scenes on plays. To find out more about how to get involved, follow us on Facebook!
